chicks in pointy hats

This is a blog that celebrates women who are bishops in the Episcopal and Anglican Church. There are still some parts of the world where women cannot be bishops. Here's hoping that the "stained glass ceiling" will break soon in those parts!

This blog was created with the hopes that those interested in church (especially young girls) who are searching the net will come across this page (hopefully the catchy title helps!) and find it inspiring and informative.

  1. it is great to have a woman bishop in Cuba. I know Griselda and she will be a fantastic bishop. Griselda was the first Hispanic woman priest I had ever encountered. Experiencing her presence inspired me to become a priest. She was in charge of four churches when I met her in Cuba thirteen years ago. The Anglican Communion is a winner with this bishop!
    Comgratulation Cuba!

  2. this is a terrific blog--so many women priests that i have talked to over the years want to hear your advice and council--and i notice that there are fewer women in bishop elections--what is going on?
